Jessica & Jeremy Hill

Ceremony: St Roch Catholic church (Alleyton, tx)
Venue:
St Roch Catholic Church Banquet Hall

When Jessica told us she was getting ready at the Farris Hotel in Eagle Lake, we didn’t realize it was famously known as “The Queen of Early Texas Hotels”. Farris Hotel is located in South Texas between I.H.10 and U.S.59. This area is known as the heart of the world’s largest goose concentrations. Eagle Lake is the undisputed, “Goose Hunting Capital of the World”, and the Farris Hotel has been the area’s premiere destination for hunters in the South Texas and Central Texas hunting zones and bird watchers alike since 1912. Enough of the geography lesson, let’s centered our interest on Jessica and Jeremy’s wedding.

April showers bring May flowers… we all have heard this phrase, right? But how many of us have witnessed May flowers in full bloom in Texas? Well, in Texas we have beautiful native wildflowers blanketing the hillsides and roadsides each Spring. Let me rephrased that, we have fields and fields of wildflowers with vivid colors ranging from red, pink, yellow, blue… It is almost impossible to describe, so just look at those pictures I have included.

We couldn’t resist stopping along the way to take picture around Eagle Lake and neighboring towns. Each subsequent stop took longer that the previous. It was like driving around in Monet’s painting, champ de coquelicot. I loved old small town charm. As a matter of fact, it reminded me of my town: Mineral Spring, Arkansas. Gosh! I’ve sidetracked again.

The grasses are green, and flowers are in bloom, off we go to J&J wedding. Jessica and her bridal party booked the whole hotel for the day! WOW !! After getting ready, Jessica drove herself to the Church. I could tell that Jessica was ready for this day! She was really calm and cool. Unlike Jeremy, who looked nervous and overwhelmed.
When we arrived, church’s pews were filled with friends and families. The wedding ceremony was really beautiful. I recalled seeing a few teary eyes.

After the ceremony, everyone walked over the reception hall. We took advantage of this time to capture some family pix and children pix. I loved these candid shots. Then we were treated to some incredible b-b-q chicken and scrumptious side dishes. The chicken was delicious, and tasty and ever so spicy. The colonel eleven herbs and spices were no match for this hometown b-b-q.

Suddenly, everyone looked to the reception hall ceiling, balloons dropped down from above, while the newlyweds danced theirs first dance, we can’t help it, but to take lots and lots of pictures of the newlyweds, families, and friends. The celebration continued late into the night. What a beautiful wedding, not just the ceremony, but the guests and families and theirs hospitalities.

Billy and I just want to say thanks to both Jessica and Jeremy, you guys were such a pleasure to work with. I hope the honeymoon in St. Thomas was wonderful, I've heard it was a tropical paradise.
Once again congratulation to Mr. & Mrs. Jeremy Hill!!! (Marie & Billy)
